Volunteer with KIA

KIA Connections

KIA students are eager to practice their English and to be connected with our international network of supporters and advocates. We are piloting a program called “KIA Connections” which will offer several opportunities each week to interact with students via Zoom. The 40-minute sessions will be drop-in, casual conversations with a group of three KIA students. You can sign up for dates and time slots that suit your availability. In each session, both you and the students will have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know each other. Guest Speaker Series

We have a weekly guest speaker series, where local and international speakers give talks to the KIA class about their respective fields and experience, followed by interactive Q&As.

Students have loved hearing about the life experiences and leadership journeys of our Guest Speakers. From VHW staff to special guests “Zooming in” from around the world, students have been enriched by their conversations with entrepreneurs, filmmakers, journalists, educators and more.
